Part-states:

South-Farfesta:

South Alonia (Alonia Dípan/ Naikki Tépet)

South Alonia (Palanian: Alonia Dípan, Alonian: Naikki Tépet) got its name because its tribes adopted the Alonian religion and customs or descended from Alonians. Almost the whole part state is located on a plateau, which is why it is covered in mist forest as opposed to Mereille in the north, which is almost entirely composed of arid desert.

The state is very similar to Alonia, and the Alonian religion is practiced in South Alonia.

Táli

Táli, a very conservative state, is located in the west of Farfesta. Táli doesn’t have anything to do with the Alonian city, and also very conservative district, Táli, which is located in Mereille, but the state was founded by Alonian tribes. The Alonian religion is practiced in Táli. However, the state is very popular for holidays with Palanians, so the Alonian rules are not enforced on tourists. The Táli pálancar is named after the Alonian city Táli, and not after the Farfestian district. Still, the Alonian culture did affect the state, and Alonian (Naikki) is spoken for religious purposes.

Táli used to be independent longer than other states in Farfesta, including Ética and Túlay, because of its allies with Alonia. The Palanians did not dare attack Táli and the state only joined the state of Farfesta after the Farfestian war.

The coast of Táli does have one of the most beautiful reefs of Eqilonia.

Língsáng

Capital: Reul

This state borders Qarqai. It is popular for its beaches and wild lands.

Cuólco

The Alonian religion used to be practiced in Cuólco, was abandoned, returned and became less liberal than before, was abandoned again, and then was introduced again by rather conservative members of the religion, which led to the Alonian religion being practiced in the state, but voluntarily. This means that visitors do not have to submit themselves to the Alonian rules when visiting Cuólco, and the state remains very liberal with only a part of the population being Alonian.

Acaxtítlan

One of the Farfestian states with the highest population of Scaleskins. The state used to be a base for the conquerors when Palania conquered Farfesta.

What to visit

Black Water National Park

Acaxtítlan is the only place beside Húmba in Palania where the orvéliu bacteria can be found, a carnivorous bacteria that colours lakes black and that would be capable of devouring a human within a few minutes. The lakes are fenced off and can only be visited when booking a tour.

Édznalímon (Éshar N’ Álon)

This state was founded by Farfestian tribes that settled in southern Farfesta after the Alonians had allowed them to settle on the planet. It was one of the first independent states founded by Farfestians. The root of the name literally translates into “Save haven of the Alonians), which derives from Scaleskins that were allowed to settle there after they had escaped slavery back in Palania, or conquered states in Farfesta. The Alonians did control the state back then, and used this to actually bring Scaleskins there to save them.

Qélantecoatl (Kwélantekwátl)

This is one of the oldest states of Farfesta, founded by Farfestian refugees that were invited to the planet of Íphael by the Alonians.

Ética

Capital: Épois

Ética is one of the few Farfestian states that kept their native language after the union of Palania and Alonia. Whilst Palania prohibited native languages in most of their country and in most of Farfesta, Ética remained unfazed and kept using Éticaii. The Éticaii are closely related to South Alonians, and southern Alonians.

Ética is famous for the city Épois, one of the largest and most densely populated cities in southern Farfesta, and the city Tarahaya, which used to be the location of a huge battle between Palanian colonists and insurgents from Ética, the Battle of Tarahaya. Ética had been one of the states revolting against the conquerors, and had asked Alonia to help them. Alonia protected Ética from being colonized for a long time, but then, legend has it that the warlord of Ética, who had an Alonian wife, took a second wife—an Elonian woman. This insulted the Alonians so that they quit the alley with Ética and withdrew their armies from Ética mid-battle. This settled it for Ética. The warlord was dethroned and later beheaded (by Alonia, not by Palania), and Ética fell to Palania.

Ética is known for its traditional Tradjuedent Pepper dishes made with lots of Tradjuedent Pepper that make them so hot that some people can’t eat them.

What to visit

Épois

The largest city in Ética, and one of the largest cities in southern Farfesta, Épois is known—and popular with tourists—for its beautiful buildings, food, and art. Épois is one of the most densely populated cities in Eqilonia, and one of the most vibrant. Épois is considered the largest city in southern Farfesta because of its number of citizens.

Salt fields

Outside the borders of bustling, densely populated Épois, there are some of the largest and most beautiful saltpans of southern Farfesta.

Tarahaya

This city used to be the location for a very violent battle between the Palanian conquerors and the Éticaii, which led to the city being destroyed several times. The city now stands next to the ruins of the ancient city Tarahaya that used to be the base of an Éticaii king.

The conquest of the city Tarahaya led the warlord of Báyon to revolt against the conquerors. He attacked the Palanian base in Tarahaya when they were distracted and re-conquered the city. He had the back-up of the Alonians that back then supported some of the realms in Ética. Later, he was abandoned by the Alonians because he had insulted them by taking an Elonian as his second wife.

Ícuanáco

A state founded by Alonian tribes that had moved from Alonia to colonize the lands of southern Farfesta. Until today, the Alonian religion is present in this state, although in a liberal way. Ícuanáco was also location of some fierce battles between Farfestians and Palanian colonists. The Ícuanáco way of the Alonian religion, and the dialect were forbidden under Palanian reign, but later adopted again.

Farfesta

Capital: Farfesta (Farfesta City)

This state was founded by Palanian colonists in the region of a Farfestian settlement near Ética. Back then, Ética was still independent, and Palania wanted to have a base in Farfesta to conquer Ética.

What to visit

Farfesta City

Farfesta City is one of the largest cities in southern Farfesta, and very densely populated. It is located directly at the border where the forest meets a saltpan.

Farfesta City does have large Farfestian, Alonian, Palanian, and Scaleskin communities, and very different districts. The large fortress next to the river has been built by Palanians, whilst the most recognized temple has been erected by Scaleskins.

Óraille

Capital: Gáme

The state of Óraille used to be the state with the highest density of minerals, until all of them were extracted and the state was exhausted. The state looks quite scarred because of the minerals that had been extracted here.

Pélélian

Capital: Avíve

Pélélian, the Green State, was founded by Palanian colonists, but near a Farfestian settlement that had been formed before. The state got its name from the forest that covered it, however, changes in the climate of Farfesta (not caused by its citizens) made nearly all of the forest disappear.

Pónóma

This state was founded by Palanian colonists. The state is very arid, with slopes that are known because of their erosion. The state is also known for its canyons.

Maíon

This state was formed by Farfestian refugees when they settled in Farfesta. The state was conquered by Palanians and most cities were destroyed in the battle.

Túlay

This state was formed by Farfestian refugees. It always had close relations with Uhût.

Túlay is one of the states that stayed independent after Palania had started to conquer Farfesta, and then joined the Realm voluntarily.

Túncaï

One of the oldest states of Farfesta and one of the first states to be formed by Farfestian refugees after the colonization of the planet. The state is known for ancient ruins from cities that were erected by the Farfestian refugees long before the Palanians arrived on the planet.

Elonia

Capital: Báyon

Elonia was once—as you could guess from its name—part of Alonia, but split because of conflicts about the execution of the Alonian religion. The Elonian form of the Alonian religion isn’t very different from the system in Alonia, but the way the religion is practiced is slightly different. The most famous example is that women in Alonia have to wear a pálancar that covers all of their hair. However, in Elonia, a transparent veil on your head that leaves a few strands is considered sufficient. This might not seem a huge conflict for a viewer outside Alonia, but for Alonia and Elonia, this was one of the reasons that led not only to a split, but several violent battles. Elonians were not welcome in Alonia—and vice versa—for thousands of years, and the two countries still aren’t considered to be on very friendly terms.

Elonia is in the same climate zone as Alonia and only slightly drier because of the mountain range that separates the state from Ketshúat.

Déínzú

Capital: Nárís

Déínzú is a state that once belonged to the realm of Alonia, but then split from Alonia because they couldn’t agree on the execution of religious laws. Déínzú is the most conservative state in Eqilonia, more conservative than Alonia, and even visitors have to wear a palí-pálancar if they’re women. The Talí- pálancar is worn by any other women in the state.

Déínzú is also conservative in other things. There are no Silver quarters, no places where you can drink, and a lot of movies (including Alonian ones) cannot be watched. The state wasn’t conquered by Palania, but was independent for thousands of years, and only joined Farfesta after the country had already been formed, and led around the conservative state that didn’t belong to Alonia or Farfesta. Despite being very isolated for thousands of years, after accepted as part of Farfesta, the state quickly changed, becoming a very forward and developed part-state.

Púlsoy

The northernmost state of Farfesta was formed by Palania. The only very sparse populated state served as natural defence against the north. The state is located next to the Cassell Sea, and the mountains of Rúbana.

The state is located in the cold steppe and tundra climate zone of Eqilonia, and one of the coldest states.

Hístoy

The northernmost state of Farfesta, and one of the coldest. Hístoy, not to be confused with the city of Hístoy in Mexetalpha, was formed as part of the defence against the insurgents from the independent tribes of the north.

History

Farfesta was created by Palania and Alonia, a short time after the creation of the Utopian Realm.

Ancient Farfesta

The pre-conqueror Farfesta wasn’t one country like it is today. The regions that later became Farfesta were home to probably hundreds of different tribes, some of them, especially in the south of Farfesta, relatives of the Alonian tribes.

Although Farfesta was an artificially created nation, most of the Farfestians derive from native tribes, not from Palanians and Alonians. Palanians: 10-15%, Alonians: at about 30%, native tribes: 60 %. Earlier in Farfesta’s history, there were actually more conquerors (Palanians) in the country, but the number of Palanians faltered over the years and the number of the native tribes increased.

Geography

The artificial created country of Farfesta, due to its shape, contains the warmest and the coldest place of the Realm.

The southern states of Farfesta are rather warm and arid or covered in wet forest, while the east and the north are known for steppe, prairie, and tundra.
